Turtle Bay, Sri Lanka

This weekend during the torrential rain and winds (welcome to Spring everyone!) I found myself day dreaming of being back in beautiful Sri Lanka, so I thought it was time to share another of our favourite spots there with you.

The beautiful and very relaxed Turtle Bay – I know that places are often referred to as being ‘off the beaten track’, but when referring to this hotel, this really is the case. We turned off the main road from Tangalla and spent almost 45 minutes driving along a tiny track before we reached the coast and the hidden haven that is Turtle Bay.

The hotel is simple, but that is part of the charm and as you can see from the pictures it is set on the most stunning, totally unspoilt Southern Sri Lankan beach. There really was not a soul there except for the few hotel guests and the staff were utterly charming – nothing was too much trouble and the food was fabulous too.

I would highly recommend if you are really looking to get away from it all and it’s brilliant value for money too!
