The Great Outdoors: Snoozeworthy Seating

Having spent the majority of the summer in temperatures above 30 degrees (not as great as it sounds when working all day instead of relaxing by the pool!), I am getting very excited about our move back to the UK and the cooler climes there. When the Mallorquin midday heat becomes too much for me and siesta is calling, I love nothing more than finding a shady spot in the garden to read a good book or have a little snooze; a very indulgent part of my day and one that got me thinking about the perfect seating for such an activity! Here are some of the top ideas I have found whilst browsing Pinterest; I am hoping to make a snoozeworthy seat a key part of our garden in our little cottage by the sea and have my reading material all lined up and ready to go:
  • Persuasion by Jane Austen - the only novel of hers that I haven't yet read and set along the coast from where we will be living.
  • Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier - this is one of my all time favourites, but the West Country coastal setting means I am desperate to read it again.
  • House by the Sea by Santa Montefiore - the latest book from one of my favourite current authors. I already have it waiting on my bookshelf, but am determined to save it until we are in our very own house by the sea!
I would love to hear your seaside read suggestions as well as any creative ideas for snoozeworthy seating - please get in touch either by commenting below or sending me an email.

Happy weekend!
