Meet The Balcony Gardener!

Whilst staying in New York this weekend I've been admiring the city landscape and embracing the open plan loft style living. There is something wonderful about having everything and everyone all in one room... sociable and spacious! One thing that isn't quite as spacious is the outside space available to those living in Manhattan, and it got me thinking about urban gardens in general and how to make the most of small outside spaces.

Browsing online I discovered Isabelle Palmer, who set up her innovative online company, The Balcony Gardener, to cater for this - balconies, patios, containter and roof terraces, she has solutions to make the most of whatever urban outside space you have. The company provided beautiful ready planted containers and window boxes for those who don't have the time to DIY in different themes such as Contemporary Urban, Edible, Evergreen and English Country Garden. For the more green fingered customers she also offers a range of vegetable, herb and flower seeds, which all come in gorgeous packaging.

The range is wonderful and watch this space as I attempt to create my own little urban oasis this Spring - I'll keep you updated throughout the Summer starting in a few weeks time with the planting post...

Have a happy Monday!
