These are the parting shots from our wedding – once we were back at Babington the time really did fly. We had been warned that this would be the case, but the evening seemed to pass in a flash. We were greeted at the doors by a line up of waiters with trays of champagne saucers and as we were the first to arrive it really felt like our own private house, like a scene from Downton Abbey, magical!

We had speeches before dinner and were then treated to an amazing banquet, the food at Babington really is out of this world – cosy, hearty fare and there really was plenty to go round. After dinner we had cocktails and pudding canapes in the bar and I had a special surprise for P, Sophie Barker, the singer from one of his all time favourite bands, Zero 7, sang Destiny for our first song followed by a couple of fantastic sets before the beautiful and super talented Annie Bea took to the stage to play us into the early hours.

We had a ball, so many happy memories and Babington really was the perfect place to party!

Following on from last week and the boys preparations, it’s time for a bit of glitter and glamour from the girls! We had a gorgeous morning with treatments at the beautiful, cosy Cowshed spa, an amazing breakfast and much relaxing and chatting in the Playroom. I decided to do my own make up, but we did have the lovely Maddy from Melanie Giles there to groom us! It was such a special time – a pause between one part of your life and the next. As the afternoon progressed the wind really picked up outside and there was a lot of rain, which some brides may have found upsetting, but we had chosen a winter wedding for a reason and the view from the room across the blustery parkland outside was moody and magical. I wore the draped Scarlet dress from Temperley London with a fur wrap, also by Alice Temperley and Jimmy Choo Luna peep-toes.

Have a lovely weekend – I’m planning a quiet one at home as I’m still recovering from jetlag after all the recent travels, but hope to be back to normal by next week!

This is the part of the day that I am so pleased to have pictures of as I was tucked away with my girls in the beautiful Babington Playroom {their master suite, not the Christian Grey version!}. Guests started to arrive and check into their rooms, while the boys got together for Patrick’s last lunch as an unmarried man; club sandwiches and Babington’s legendary Scotch Eggs! The special guest at the lunch was Patrick’s new godson, Indigo Blaise, who at only three weeks old really was the youngest member of the group! Next week I’ll give you a peek inside the beautiful Playroom to see what we were up to while the boys were relaxing with Peronis…

Have a lovely weekend.

Since we got married last November I have been totally useless at sorting our wedding pictures…family and friends have been asking and asking, so finally I have got around to selecting our favourites to share. I know that Spring is finally with us in the UK and winter now feels like a {slightly} distant memory, but for today and the next few Fridays let me take you back to November last year; stormy winds, torrential rain and our lovely wedding at Babington

First up are the pictures that set the scene – most of these were taken by Patrick, with a few thrown in by the lovely Chloe from Caught The Light, who photographed our day. From next week onwards all the images will be hers, but although he finally agreed to put his carmera down for the ceremony, it was impossible to stop Patrick at least snapping some of the surroundings and preparations at the house! I think the images speak for themselves, it was the most stunning setting and absolutely perfect for our cosy Winter wedding.

Enjoy the photos and have a lovely weekend wherever you are. We’re in Malaysia for another wedding, which couldn’t be more different from ours…40 degree tropical heat and cockatils on the beach!
