This week I stumbled across a great new website full of lovely bits and pieces – Loop the Loop has a collection of stylish, elegant and vintage pieces for the home, and there are many that I’m already coveting!

For this week’s product of the week I have selected a couple of storage items; the first is this fabulous vintage wire basket, which is perfect for storing books, magazines or even as a log basket. If used as a log basket, then the perfect accompaniment are the rustic wooden boxes below – we have a couple of them at home that we use for our kindling and they work perfectly.

This week’s product of the week comes from one of my favourite parts of England; the beautiful Somerset countryside!  These dainty and delicate bird designs are nothing if not unique; handmade by talented Josephine Hague, the birds are mainly based on humming birds, but she also makes pheasants for her country-based clients. They are each hand-sculpted from lightweight material and then a selection of Japanese and vintage fabrics is collaged over the wings and body. They are so delicate and beautiful – the perfect way to add something unique and handmade to your home. For more information and pricing visit Josephine’s beautiful website.

This week’s product of the week is this selection of four reproduction ceramic mustard pots from the lovely Ebury Home & Garden. Based on an original design they look beautiful in a cluster, but would be equally as stylish used individually to display different flowers. My sweet peas are out of control (in a good way!) at the moment, so I could definitely do with some of these to display them in. I’m out of vases and am slowly working my way through all of our mugs and glasses as I have so many and can’t bear not to display them all!

As the climate still seems determined to convince us all it’s mid-winter, I have decided to let myself move in that direction for this week’s product of the week. New for A/W 12 at John Lewis is the gorgeous Thomas armchair covered in Emily Bond’s distinct handmade Dachshund fabric, which is based on her own miniature wirehaired Dachshund. Stylish and cute, the chair looks the perfect place to snuggle up with a good book and dream of sunnier climes!

The talented designer of one of my favourite crockery ranges, Fenella Smith, has just added some fantastic new designs to her animal collection. With scotty dogs, pugs, pigs, bees and flamingos, the new collection is really colourful and diverse – I just love it!

All her products made in England using Cornish clay, Fenella takes inspiration from happy childhood memories to create her beautiful and unique designs. I’m really hoping that she’s soon introduce a Coco design, and then the collection will be complete! All items are now available from stockists around the UK as well as online.
