I have been fairly quiet over the past few months – working away behind the scenes on the blog’s new look, our new house, as well as a new website for interior design.

I have been getting more and more enquiries over the last year or so, which is very flattering, so I thought it time to take the plunge and put a portfolio website together online – the result is LBM Design Studio – I really hope you like it!

To celebrate the launch thought I would take a little trip down memory lane with you. Over the coming weeks I will share pictures of some of the rooms I have enjoyed designing the most as well as some of the rooms that have resonated most online, being shared on sites like Houzz and Pinterest.

First up is this lovely master bedroom in Battersea. It was one of the first projects I worked on and I loved this space so much – the striking wallpaper from Tapet Cafe, combined with Cornforth White paint from Farrow & Ball worked well together to create a lovely calming palette and a serene, elegant space. A calming colour palette is the basis of all bedrooms that I design – I really feel they should always be a luxurious sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house.

The Vogue print in the picture above was a personal commission – I asked my talented friend Buzzy to paint it for me and he has since been asked to recreate it a few times after people have spotted it on Pinterest. I think it has been saved over 20,000 times in total, which is just amazing!

I hope you like this selection of images – if you want to recreate a look similar to this in your home, then sign up for blog updates or follow me on instagram, as I will be sharing a ‘Get the Look’ post here soon!

Firstly I would like to apologise for my absence for the last few weeks – moving house and planning a wedding proved a little too much for me and some things sadly had to give…work was sidelined slightly as we packed boxes for most of the week and said our goodbyes to Courtyard Cottage.

With the wedding now less than three weeks away I have a feeling that my posts will still be a little sparse, but I promise to get online as much as I can. This morning I want to share these gorgeous images from Bluebell Gray’s Autumn/Winter ’12 collection. With a palette of warm pinks and plums in painterly strokes, these cushions are a sure way to warm up your home this Autumn and leave a stylish and lasting impression. Stunning!

I’m so pleased that the Indian Summer is still with us – I adore this time of year, September never fails us when it comes to last minute sunshine before the winter sets in. I had a very relaxing weekend pottering around the house, writing wedding invitations, making homemade jam from the plums in the garden as well as leek and potato soup with leeks I grew – very proud!

I hope your weekend was as lovely. This morning I want to share a beautiful and stylish Victorian terrace in London with you. I am reaching completion soon on both my Victorian projects and have loved every minute – they are such lovely spaces to work with and the original features never fail to charm me.

Sadly my holiday is coming to an end…three more days and I’ll be back in Dorset, where I hear the rain is still pouring. For my final Mallorquin themed post I wanted to share these images of a gorgeous city pad in the capital, Palma. Perfectly designed to maximise the light and views whilst creating a cool haven from the heat, this apartment has a lovely light and airy feel. Sitting here typing in 32 degrees without aircon, just looking at these pictures is making me feel a little cooler! Have a great week and I’ll be back to work with a bump on Monday….see you then!

Thinking again about colour and sunshine and doing my utmost to encourage the summer to do what it ought, I am sharing these lovely bright pastels from a shoot styled by the talented Charlotte Love. Gorgeous pictures and the perfect way to ease yourself into the weekend…

Enjoy!
