Say it with a Cupcake...

There is something about cupcakes that really excites me. I think it's a combination of the shape, size and array of colours and flavours available, but suffice to say I was thrilled when the cupcake revolution began in London a few years back with specialised boutiques popping up around the city.

I have recently begun to wonder if my passion for them is verging slightly on an obsession, as at Christmas more than three friends and family members gave me cupcake related gifts ranging from tea towels and thank you cards, to nail files and even tissues with cupcakes decorating the packet. As a result I feel it is time to take drastic action before I actually turn into a cupcake, so I'm going cold turkey.

Before that happens I need one last hit and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner I have the perfect excuse.

I can't think of a better way to share my love this year than with a cupcake? They are beautiful and delicious as well as great value for money and by giving a whole box to your other half you are ensuring that you’ll get to eat at least one yourself!

One of my happiest memories is of P flying all the way over from London to Mallorca with a Red Velvet (Hummingbird's signature cupcake) stashed in his hand luggage.  Amazingly it survived the trip from Notting Hill to Palma relatively unscathed, so they are pretty hardy too!
