My Favourite Beauty Products for Pregnancy

During my pregnancy, I have been using a slightly different range of beauty products to my normal beauty routine, with the emphasis slightly more on natural & pampering. When pregnant, not only is it important to stay as moisturised as possible to help your skin grow and stretch, but I think it's also a time to really relax and pamper yourself before the arrival of your precious little one. I'm sure time for pampering is very limited in the first few months post-birth!

I am someone who usually likes to try to stick to natural products wherever possible, putting as few chemicals as possible onto my skin, but when pregnant I feel this is even more important. Some new products that I have introduced over the last few months include a natural deodorant from Aurelia Probiotic Skincare - up until now I have been using the Cowshed one, which I love, but have been wanting to try the Aurelia range out for a while. It is a really good product, that definitely works - my only quibble is that you have pat it on with your fingers rather than spray, which at first I found a bit of a faff, but now I'm used to it is no issue. It smells lovely and unlike lots of other natural deodorants I've tried, it does really work.

Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise

I am also cleansing and toning my skin with a natural cleanser and toner, both from Cowshed. They are old favourites and smell amazing, a real treat to use. To moisturise I'm using Caudalie serum and cream in the morning and in the evening a mixture of Chloe Loves Organics Serum and the wonderful new Superfood range from Elemis. I adore both the Facial Oil and the Night Cream.

Something I am usually not brilliant at doing regularly enough is moisturising my body. Throughout my pregnancy, I have been doing this twice a day to avoid stretch marks and it's something I really want to continue post-pregnancy, as I have totally fallen in love with the products I've been using and it's such a simple and quick way to add a bit of pampering to your day.

In the morning after a shower, I have been using Elemis' famous Japanese Camelia Body Oil (if it's good enough for Victoria Beckham...she swore by it during her pregnancies!). It goes on so easily and leaves my skin feeling super soft.

In the evening after a bath, I have been using Jo Malone's Vitamin E Body Balm, which is such a soft, luxurious cream - also amazing to use and smells delicious too.

The final, and possibly most important part of my pregnancy routine, has been bathtime. Every evening I try to fit one in - it's such a lovely way to soak away the aches and pains of the day, and I have found it more and more important the bigger I get! I also think it's a really lovely time to just focus on me and the baby and connect. My two favourite bath oils have been Plum & Ashby's Lavender Bath Essense and one of my favourite scents of all time from Jo Malone, Pomegranate Noir Bath Oil.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I would highly recommend all of these products to anyone, pregnant or not!
