March Moments

I don't know if it's just me, but hasn't March just passed us by in the blink of an eye? I can't believe that it's April tomorrow.

We have had a busy month, still trying to finish the house.  We are slowly getting there and although progress is being made, it feels slow at the moment.  Nothing much has changed visually in the last few months, but sometimes that is the way with renovations.

The kitchen is the only room in the house that feels 'done'. I'm longing for more to be ready so I can share some room tours here. Soon I hope!

We have been loving the glimpses of Spring in Dorset. Mother's Day was a particular highlight as I hosted a family lunch for 14 people at home. The weather was amazing and it was one of the first times the house really felt like a home. So fun!

The next major project for us (once the builders finish next month) will be the garden. I'm looking forward to sharing my journey of designing and planting with you in due course.

Finally, P and I disappeared for a week in LA this month - we went to surprise some of our best friends, who live in Australia and were over in the US for a birthday trip. It was so perfect (despite the jet lag), a really happy time. We visited so many fab places from Chateau Marmont to the Beverley Hills Hotel, which has always been on my bucket list. I even squeezed in a Kundalini yoga class in Hollywood, which was brilliant, such an LA experience. I can't wait to share my posts about the trip here soon. Oh, and I just couldn't stop taking pictures of the blue sky and palms, the perfect tonic after the UK Winter!

I hope you have had a lovely month too. What are you looking forward to in April?
