I've recently launched a 'Lifestyle' section on the blog so I can share some of my favourite non-interiors-related things with you. This is my first post about beauty products and as we are away in beautiful Pollensa and the weather is very, very hot, I am sharing my top beauty buys for surviving the summer heat.

First up and so important is a good sun hat. Mine this year is from Pia Rossini and I love it - I have also launched the new shopping pages on the site and the hat is available in the 'Travel' section, so do go and check it out!

When it comes to summer makeup I like to keep it simple and focus on protecting my skin. As a child and teenager, I probably spent far too much time tanning (didn't we all?!), so now I can be mostly found under an umbrella with my Kindle and a bottle of Factor 50!

Here is a list of the top products I'm using this year...

Lancaster Sun Oil SPF30 - I love this spray as it's so easy to apply and it gives a gentle golden sheen.

Sarah Chapman Dynamic Defence - a fab day cream that's not too heavy in the heat.

Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial - a fantastic night oil that really helps repair and moisturise your skin after a day in the sun.

Eau Cellular Water Spray by Institut Esthedederm - I couldn't be without this is in the heat! So cool and refreshing - I have a handbag size one so it comes everywhere with me.

La Roche Posay BB Cream SPF50 - this is a new discovery for me this summer and it's amazing. It gives a totally mat and flawless look, but also provides great protection.

Chanel Lipgloss - I keep make-up to a minimum in the summer, but this is a great all-year-round product and I love the stylish Chanel packaging too.

Chantecaille Mascara - this is an amazing mascara, it's called Longest Lash mascara and it really is. It also doesn't seem to smudge much in the sun, which is a real bonus.

Pixi Glow Tonic - a beauty blogger favourite, this is a miracle product - I use it morning at night after removing my make-up and really notice a difference to my skin and overall complexion.

Chantecaille Oil Free Foundation - a beautifully light foundation that glides onto the skin, it's great for balmy evenings as it gives a very fresh and natural look.

So those are all my summertime beauty favourites and you can shop the full selection below.

I've been asked for a little while by readers about my beauty and fashion tastes and this is my first post straying from interiors and travel, so would love to hear your feedback!
