Christmas Gift Guide 2014

I've been spending far too much of my time recently browsing all my favourite websites looking for gift ideas for friends and family...so easily distracted from my work, but it is almost Christmas! I couldn't possibly share all my finds with you, so have put together a selection of my favourites for men, women and little ones too!

First up from one of my all-time favourite stores, Graham & Green, are the funky brass lamps above - I love them, but I also think the black one would be super smart for P's desk, so I think a gift suitable for both boys and girls.

Next up something that everyone should add to their wish list this Christmas, a bit of sparkle! I would love mine to come in the form of these gorgeous shoes from Boden that I've been gazing at dreamily for months...

Next on my list are these beautifully crafted fairy lights from Cable and Cotton. They come in a whole range of colours, so you can choose them to fit your scheme. These ones are the sea salt, which are my personal favourite. They would work well as a colourful nightlight for a little person's bedroom or equally as well as a fun lighting accessory in any room.

Whilst on the subject of little ones, I am just a little bit obsessed with these fairy and elf doors from The Magic Door Store that I spotted at a Christmas fair recently.  Such a brilliant idea! These designs are based on the front doors of London townhouses and you can even get accessories to help you create magical little footprints too. The perfect way to encourage imagination and creativity to grow. Whilst I might be a little old to install in my bedroom, no child's bedroom should be without one!

You can never have too many mirrors and I just adore these carriage mirrors from Graham & Green - they come in various sizes and the prices are reasonable too.

Monogram mugs with a beautiful crafty feel from another favourite store, Anthropologie

On my Christmas list every year is a set of silky soft bed linen. This year I am lusting after the Emilie set from White Company.

Every year on my list of New Year's Resolutions I add 'learning to bake', and every year fail to learn. If this book, Bread, Cake, Doughnut, Pudding, can't get me going then nothing will!

As you know from various past posts in the past, I'm a bit of a fan of Fenella Smith's designs. I'm also a big fan of the wonderful Andrea on X-Factor and am keeping everything crossed he will be crowned winner this weekend! In his honour I have selected some Pug designs from Fenella's collection for my Christmas list.

Finally, I would love to add to my vase collection and have got my eye on a couple of these gorgeous designs from Designers Guild. You can never have too many fresh flowers in the home!

I hope this has given you some festive inspiration - what's on your Christmas list this year?
