A Powerful Start To Your Day!

Wow! Isn't this weather amazing? Sunshine everyday this week and set to continue into the weekend - it makes so much difference, there are currently so many smily faces in London, it's wonderful! It also makes starting a new healthy regime much, much easier...P and I are on a bit of a health kick at the moment and are starting our day with a super green power smoothie. I am lusting after the gadget of all kitchen gadgets, the amazing Vitamix, which would make our smoothies much quicker to make and full of even more goodness, but we are currently using our Kitchen Aid.

The Vitamix is firmly at the top of my Christmas list; this review from a fellow ex Newsround colleague sums up quite why they are so amazing and I would love to hear from you if you have one! Anyway Vitamix or no Vitamix, I highly recommend you start your day with one of these delicious green smoothies. We throw in a base of spinach and whatever we have in the house that can be juiced - most often apples, an orange and a bit of cucumber, but you really can add almost any fruit or vegetable. The key ingredient is our Life Drink, which is a powder filled with so many goodies and it leaves us both feeling bright and full of energy for the day ahead. I can't take credit for these beautiful images, they are by Sarah who writes one of my favourite blogs, A Beach Cottage.

I wish our smoothies did look as lovely as this!

  1. Try a handful of curly kale, mango (frozen works brilliantly), and a banana. Drop in a few ice cubes, cover with water and blitz. I add a teaspoon of white wine vinegar and a organic omega cool oil for an added health boost. Blitz again and drink. Mmmmmmm.

    1. Sounds amazing...thank you! Will definitely try it out! LMH x
